Black Pussy Willow

Good gardening friend and long time colleague Sheliah of Raymond checks in with a neat picture of a Black Pussy Willow. Sheliah is a heckuva gardener but she lives in a COLD section of Skillin's Country so if a plant can grow in her garden it can sure grow in hers!

About a week ago Sheliah sent this picture of the Black Pussy Willow with the following note. It does look like an early Spring! If you have a wet spot and don't mind a rangy type of plant that shows some nice "early action" then the Black Pussy Willow is for you!

Here is Sheliah's note! Thanks Sheliah; see you soon!

"Even though I still have plenty of snow - you can imagine how happy I was to see my Black Pussy Willow in bloom today! My Fan Tail Pussy Willow is only a few days behind. A true sign of Spring! Yahoo! Mike -looks like my Dad (the old farmer) was right about an early Spring!"

Like I said the snow was on the ground a few days back--not so sure about now. The Fan Tail Pussy Willow is a gem too.
