Each Saturday until April our Skillin's Cumberland store at 201 Gray Road in Cumberland hosts the Cumberland Farmers Market from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Several of the Saturdays have special themes; all of the Saturdays feature great local produce, products and best of all great local farming and trade people!
Parking is free, our building is warm and bustling with Spring soon to arrive. So come and see!
Leslie Fitzgerald the organizer of the event sent this message to Terry Skillin describing some of this week's themes and events:
"Hi Terry, Kim and the gang,
This Saturday is Sweetheart's Day at the Market. Simons and Goodwin will be there with folk and soft rock love songs and lots of great guitar music.
Kay Fowler (Spring Brook Farm) will also be back and we're trying to twist Scott Jillson's arm so he'll come with his maple products, caramel corn and delectable edibles. Several of the vendors will be there with specials. I'll have gluten free baked goods again and teas on sale. I have to liquidate those teas! :-)
All of the regulars will be there, Debbie Uva, Grape Island Glass, will be back with bragging rights to her new grand daughter's pictures. Maybe a kid or two from Creeping Thyme Farm.
See you all Saturday,
